Your Ideal Mailing List

Your Ideal Mailing List eCourse and eCoaching Program

Marketing Online: If you are going to market online, you need to make list building one of your top priorities. A high-quality, responsive list creates business relationships and converts your subscribers to paying customers. Some people think that they have to have a huge mailing list in order to market their products and services…not true!

Responsive List: It is better to have a list of 500 targeted readers who are proven buyers then to have a list of 5,000 people, with very little response. So from the beginning, you should put the “large list” out of your mind and focus on building a responsive and well targeted opt-in list. This list is what will help your business grow, generate sales, and build your credibility. Your list will become one of your most precious assets.

  • Give of yourself – Approach relationships in a giving manner.
  • Trust – That is self explanatory. You want to be able to trust everyone you work with and so does everyone else.

Competition = Motivation

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Competition should be one of your biggest motivators.  Why?  Because competition means you have someone that measures up equally or better up against your skills and or profession. Competition keeps you on your toes and makes you more aware and creative…this is a good thing!

Competition should motivate you to be better at what you do and find a niche that keeps you one cut above the rest.  The Public Speaking industry can be very competitive.  This does not mean that you alienate yourself from your fellow public speakers.  Remember never to burn your bridges.

Becoming an Author

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Many speakers have not yet taken the plunge into an author’s world.  This is an endeavor that can be intimidating.  As a Speaker if you have been in the industry long enough to perfect your expertise, and are confident that your message needs to be heard by many this is a plunge that you want to take.  With so many of today’s online resources marketing your book has never been easier.  You simply have to worry about taking the time to put your pen on the paper or your fingertips on the keyboard.  It is another way to tap into a market where your niche can be heard.  Take the time to educate yourself on the necessary steps and simply leap into it with the confidence that you have nothing to lose and so much more to gain.

So many people wish they had the luxury to do what they love and take on the entrepreneurial industry with their dreams in hand hoping they can turn it into a lucrative business.  The reason for this blog posting today is to remind you to be thankful for the infinite possibilities that you have been able to tap into as speakers.  Your words and your job are inspirations for your audience.  When the road seems filled with to many free speaking engagements, numerous amounts of promo events, and a mile long list of things to do remember you are doing what you love.

You took on the world knowing that you could inspire and that you have a message that no-one else has for that specific target audience.  Each time you speak the love of your art shines through and inspires your admirers to continue to promote you, develops further networking opportunities, and endless opportunities.  But most of all it allows you to stand out from your competitor and the honesty of your character is a superior quality.

Every situation you encounter as a Professional Speaker should be a networking opportunity.  Even when you are completing day to day errands you never know who could be the key to your next speaking engagement.  Thus the top 5 tips for networking at all times are to:

  1. Carry business cards with you at all times with updated information such as your phone number, email, and website.
  2. Always get their business card as you always want to follow up even with a quick hello remember me.
  3. Ask for referrals.  Remember everyone knows somebody that could lead to a future speaking engagement.
  4. Always leave a lasting impression.  If you run into someone on the checkout line and you begin to talk small talk take that opportunity to tell them what you do.  Everyone finds your industry more than intriguing.
  5. Never say no to possibilities.  If you go out there with an open mind you are sure to receive endless opportunities.  No matter how well known or how great you are as a speaker never pass up these opportunities.

Are you an organized Public Speaker

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

So many public speakers are on the move with no clue that their lack of organization affects their presentation, thus your ideas may not get across in the way you would like.  Communication is the key to being a successful speaker alongside organization.  You could be the best public speaker in your forte, but lack of organization will shine right through your message and lose the audience you are trying to impact.  With that said here are my recommendations on getting organized and leaving a lasting impression.

 1.      Is your office organized?  Remember that your work space should be a haven that motivates your expertise.  If you are not organized you will lose focus and items that are needed for your speaking engagements or any continuous projects you work on.

2.      Look and feel your best.  If you are healthy, well rested, focused and motivated it will shine through to your target audience.  This also includes your attire.  Get the perfect attire that does not overshadow your audience, but makes them feel at ease with you are and what you have to say.  Also remember if you had a bad day and did not leave it at the door, your lack of composure will inevitably make an impact on your message.

3.      Brush up on your topic.  If you are out of touch with newest advancements, or tools to help your audience then you are not prepared.

4.      Your presentation should be edited and perfected.  If your presentation lacks organization, it will not flow.  If your forte is not editing and perfecting hire the personnel you need to assist you in achieving that perfect presentation.

In every part of your life you should be a walking billboard for your public speaking forum.  By staying organized you know that where ever you go the way you look, the way you speak is not a walking contradiction
