How important is it to have a video? Well, let me put it this way, if you want to keep up with the pack and stay on the top of your game you should have a video or several. We all know there are millions of videos on the internet today and as a speaker, author, coach or entertainer you want to stay on top in your field and amongst your target audience so you can increase your exposure, sales and credibility. If you’re not creating videos right now, you might want to get on the bandwagon with the rest of the pack so you can stay ahead.

When someone tells you to create a video so it can become viral it’s not just as simple as throwing together a video and posting it on YouTube. Remember once you post something on the internet, it’s there to stay for a long time so be wise and be careful when creating and posting your videos.

In creating videos for the past 8 years I have taken notice to a few things and if you don’t want your video to become stale and not kick into that viral mode you were hoping for then here are some things to remember…. continue reading article here

1. Niche Yourself

Yes, I know you have heard this many times and it couldn’t be truer! One of the biggest mistakes a speaker can make is having too “general” of a topic. You want to narrow your expert niche as much as possible. Become the Speaker of Choice, research your topic industry so you know “what’s hot” and “what’s not”. Take that research and develop a niche around it, be sure it is something you have experience with and will be able to present it as a professional expert speaker in that field. Don’t waste your time, energy and money on developing a “niche” that just isn’t going to get any recognition because it isn’t something that planners will be looking for! Do your research and I do put emphasis on this tip! Once you have discovered your niche, you must continue to practice your speaking skills and update your material and presentations to keep-up with the trends and changing issues.

Ilene DillonNational Hate Week – (4-16)  by Ilene Dillon

Hate results from holding anger inside, over time.  It does more harm to the “vessel” (the person holding onto the anger and hate) than to anyone.  Because so many people follow the practice of holding onto anger over years of time, a lot of us have hate inside—and it does feel good to let it out without apology (and without dumping it on others).  However, in the long run, both held-onto anger, and the hate it engenders, destroys lives.  It can destroy mental and emotional functioning, self esteem, relationships and health.

Do you struggle when planning your monthly team meetings? Are your sales organization training meetings poorly attended? Is meeting time stressful?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then this direct sales/network marketing direct sales meeting planning template will change your life. There is a simple formula for putting together interesting, fun, keep-’em-coming-back team trainings.

Network Marketing-Direct Sales-Party Plan trainings

It does not matter whether you are a party plan, network marketing, or direct sales company, this template for planning meetings will work for you. Most companies have three services which vary from company to company. In any of those business models they are:

  • Bookings, prospecting, finding business
  • Sharing the opportunity, recruiting
  • Showings or presentations and/or product knowledge

After you figure out what your three main meeting topics are, then you can apply them to this three-part template. For the purpose of this article we will talk about a home party plan company. If you are a network marketing company or a direct sales company that does not rely on the party plan for leads do not judge yourself out. This still applies to you. Just divide the meeting up into your appropriate skills as they relate to your business.

Barry Roberts - To the Heart of the MatterBy Barry Roberts

On the list of little known holidays, some are rather important. During February, from the 10th to the 14th, we observe Cardiac Rehabilitation Week. This annual event is dedicated to the cardiac rehabilitation professionals and the patients they serve, to the goal of reducing the devastating effects of heart disease. Indeed a worthy endeavor to those of us who care about our health.

Not to take anything away from those professionals, and in addition to what they do, there is so much we can do for and by ourselves, through a daily regimen of laughter!

No joke here; from the Bible (“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.”) to Groucho Marx (“A clown is like an aspirin, except that it works twice as fast.”) experts through the ages are clear about the value of laughter as it relates to our heart and health.

Research studies have shown that laughter and a good sense of humor can protect against heart disease. In other experiments researchers have found that ten minutes of laughter can lower blood pressure and increase circulation. Dr. Michael Miller of the University, home of these studies says that, “Recommendations for a healthy heart may one day be exercise, eat right and laugh a few times a day.” of Maryland

Why wait until “one day”? Laughter, for its curative powers, is a lot like chicken soup…are we sure it will help? It won’t hurt!
